3. Trade Marks
3.4 Change of Name or Address:
(1) The Trade Mark Regulations require the recording in the Register of Trade Marks of any change in the name or address of the proprietor of a Trade Mark.
(2) Applications for recording a change of name should be supported by documents issued by official bodies dealing with the registration of companies or chambers of commerce, or by a copy of the resolution of the company concerned, evidencing the change. Such documents should be notarised and legalised. A notarized and legalised power of attorney authorising us to apply for the recordal of the change is required.
(3) A change of address may be recorded with or without producing a document evidencing the change, if we have a notarized and legalised power of attorney authorising us to apply for the recordal of the change.
(4) Applications for recording a change of name should preferably be accompanied by the original Certificate of Registration of the Trade Mark so that the change may be endorsed on it.
